Does Size-up Matter?

This week's tip is going to answer the question does size up matter?  And the answer is absolutely yes.  If we do not do a good size up that can lead to inaccurate assumptions, Inaccurate assumption may lead to inappropriate actions.  Inappropriate actions increases firefighter risk and decreases firefighter safety.  We have an obligation to do a good size up every time.  With that being said every member of the organization must be able to complete a good size up from the day they step onto the floor for the first time all the way through their retirement.  We owe that to each other.  This skill needs to be practiced on a regular basis. This is a perishable skill if we don’t use this skill we will lose it.
